Biography of Iman Ali

Iman Ali was born on December 19, 1980 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, is a Pakistani actress and model.

She is the second daughter of television/film actor Abid Ali with his first wife, Humaira Ali. She has two sisters, Maryam (elder sister) and Rahma Ali (younger sister) and both are actresses.

Ali portrayed Anarkali in a seven-minute music video directed by Shoaib Mansoor. Ali then co-hosted the Lux Style Awards in 2005 and has since starred television productions.

In 2007, Ali made her film debut in Shoaib Mansoor’s Khuda Kay Liye for which she received the Lux Style Award for ‘Best Actress’ in 2008. She also appeared in Shoaib Mansoor’s next film, Bol.

Iman Ali’s role in Khuda Kay Liye was first offered to a contemporary model of her league Fauzia Amir, but later the director Shoaib Mansoor reconsidered the casting and the role was offered to Iman Ali. The role proved to be a turning point in Iman’s career which resulted a Best Actress award in Pakistan’s top award show: Lux Style Awards.
